Tim Cooper

A fifth generation brewer from Coopers Brewery, Tim Cooper began his professional life as a doctor. After completing medical studies in Adelaide, he worked mainly in the UK as a Registrar in medicine and cardiology in Bristol and Cardiff where he also conducted medical research.

In the mid 1980's he studied brewing science. Tim joined the family company in 1990 working first as Technical Manager, then Operations Manager before taking on the position of Director of Brewing. He became a Director of the company in 1997 and, as Project Director was responsible for development of the new Coopers Brewery at Regency Park. Tim was appointed Managing Director in February 2002. He has been awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to the brewing industry, professional organisations and the community.

Graeme Hugo is University Professorial Research Fellow, Professor of the Department of Geographical and Environmental Studies and Director of the National Centre for Social Applications of Geographic Information Systems at the University of Adelaide. Rob Redenbach
